Born Mark Wayne Williams in the Falmouth Hospital, Trelawny in Jamaica, he was nicknamed "Khris" by his mother after his distinctive birth date on December 25th.
Khristopher enjoyed listening to all genres of music and at a tender age of 12 years old he relocated to Brooklyn, NY where he continued his schooling. When he got older, he frequented New York area clubs where he followed his love of music on the Dancehall scene. Khristopher was motivated by the singing inspiration of Reggae artistes such as Sanchez and Wayne Wonder, as well as international renowned artistes like Marvin Gaye and Brian McKnight.
He got his first experience of studio life at Don One Studio in Brooklyn where he began to record dub plates for local area sound systems. In 1999, Khristopher met Louis "Flabba" Malcolm in the Bronx where he recorded a cover version of the Backstreet Boys hit “I WANT IT THAT WAY” on Flabba’s HEADACHE RIDDIM (Jamaican Patois/slang for "rhythm"), which commanded the attention of the music world. His musical talents were acknowledged and his fan base commenced and continues to grow today.
On the heels of that success, Khristopher recorded another cover of a Backstreet Boys' track, this time being that of “ALL I HAVE TO GIVE”, on the HURRICANE RIDDIM, also produced by Flabba. With this success, he has traveled to countries like Japan, Germany and England, just to name a few. He also toured a few Caribbean islands. He continues to perform on shows in the New York Tri-state and Connecticut area.
In 1999, Khristopher made a career shift to move back to Jamaica, as he wanted to further pursue his musical career through working with other Jamaican producers, which included Jeremy Harding on "VEX NOW" with Delly Ranx and Louis "Flabba" Malcolm on “WHO’S HOLDING DONNA”, one of Khristopher’s memorable cover. It was hit #2 on the Tri-state’s Top 20 Reggae Countdown and received famed recognition internationally. He also worked with Collin "Bulby" York on the MAD INDIAN RIDDIM with a track called "EVERYTIME IT RAINS" in 2006.
He takes pride in his songwriting abilities which includes original works such as “NO WEY NUH BETTAH DAN YAWD” produced by himself and Andre “DRETEGS” Hawthorne for Fifth Element Records, “HEARTBEAT AWAY” also produced by himself, Liveon Gavin and DRETEGS, and “DO WHATEVER” which was co-written by DRETEGS and Reggae singer Tony Curtis. French musical duo, Daddy and Hypa of D&H REMIX, did a club remix of "HEARTBEAT AWAY" which featured David Guetta.
Khristopher is now being booked by Lesley Hayles and signed to Fifth Element Records. They have released a number of his other singles such as "SAME TING AGAIN" and "MY CHERIE AMOUR". Khristopher’s latest singles include, "HEARTBEAT AWAY", "MARIJUANA", "DO WHATEVER" and "NO WEY NUH BETTAH DAN YAWD".
With his passion for music, Khristopher’s sultry voice shows a talent commanded for in the music world.
